Making History
New Beginnings
It is with a huge amount of relief, pride, optimism and hope for the future that we opened Graven Hill Primary and Preschool to our very first cohort of children this week.
While I am the very first headteacher of Graven Hill, it is not my school and it never will be mine; my job is to serve the community in the school and community where the school exists. I am simply the first custodian of the school; I have to set the conditions to allow the folks here and in the wider Graven Hill community to thrive - in simple terms, my job is to leave the school and community in a better place when I leave than when I started. This will always be our school, not my school.
It has been a wonderful week in school, the children have settled into their routines so brilliantly. I know both my team and I are so proud of them and how they've started their journeys here. It has been brilliant getting to know their characters and seeing them thriving already.
This give me hope for the years to come.
